The Friday E-Mail - The New Edit

Hello to one and all!

I have been summoned to the bar, as work for the engineers has been banned by one of our number. I’m really liking the idea, it’s a very good one.

Still, I’m here settled in well, and with the help of another guest editor, Kat, The Friday E-Mail came close to bridging the gap. Rose failed in her mission, forgetting, but we all forget so it was nice of her to try.

Still, the past two weeks has been crammed full of wicked information and stuff like this, so I will try, in the new edit, to fizzle out the nonsense and concentrate on the good stuff.

Not sure where to start, but here goes.

As Pakistan and the surrounding regions gets to grips with the toll from it’s 7.2 Richter earthquake, which devastated the region and at a time where ‘compassion fatigue’ may be setting it. They need help, the charities need money, so if you get pennied or something during a drinking game one night, make sure it goes to Pakistan and no the bin. Every little helps here, people.

Bridge related news. The 3.6km main span (I may be wrong, but I’m close) suspension bridge has been contracted to an Italian company. The bridge will cover the gap between Italy and Sciliy, although doubters are reckoning the price tag will shoot up as the mafia are suspected to steal and plunder from the builders. The towers of the bridge are going to be taller than the Eiffel tower, if you wanted to know.

Tony Blair has come under severe fire as British CO2 output has risen in the past three consecutive years, and his commition to Kyoto is being questioned by a united Lib Dem and Conservative bench.

Bush has his best moment yet, as he reveals “God told me to invade Iraq.” God also told him to find Bin Laden and help the Palestinians. So Bush has gone to do those things. But who told him to run for President?

In entertainment, the lead actor in The Layer Cake has been cast as the new James Bond, according to my very reliable source, Mr Chris Paddon. It’s a good snippet to know.

And finally, whoever thought it would be a good idea to arm Sophia with a crossbow **cough**Kyle**cough** needs their head examining. In response to this move, I’m setting up the DoSS – Disarmament of Sophia Society. All people are welcome to join.

And that’ll do for now, I hope it wasn’t too long.

See you next week.

Paul
