And it’s a big hello to each and every one of you, my fuzzy little friends. This is mine and Chris’ last Friday in the Greater Manchester area until Christmas, so, while we will no doubt miss Chris dearly, strains will be felt on The Friday E-Mail production front. As will the content, what with us all being away. So, if you’re up for the challenge of summarising a weeks worth of events (be they news and/or group related) in one beautiful e-mail to send out to the full e-mailing list, then please let me know and you can be guest editor for a week. It’s looking like it might take me as much as two weeks to get my computer networked and ready for action, so to keep the Friday E-Mail alive, it’s going to depend on it’s readers to help it along.
As Scott and Rick settled into their new home for the next few years, and James Clarke made it to Leeds in the end they’re doing fine. Rick keeps getting drunk, Scott is enjoying the fun in that place he doesn’t know – Manchester and James we haven’t heard from yet, and so he must be having fun!
The remaining people in the area, that is to say James H, Rob, Chris and myself went for a curry and a pub session on Wednesday night, which was a blast if you’re interested and a good time was had by all, even if James did manage to insult the bar-maid forcing us to move on to the pub down the road.
And finally, for those that might care, school hasn’t changed much at all. There’s a new carpet on maths corridor, nothing’s happened to the Great Hall where the battered wicker chairs still sit in perfect neat lines and Mr Cairns is still very much teaching. Ed is doing well and he settles into sixth form doing maths, business studies and economics; although I’m not sure to what extent his racketing has reached yet!
Oh, and for the record. If you’re interested in claiming one of the 4 remaining Summer Of 2005 CD – DVD combo’s then don’t hesitate to contact Wilko (Matt Wilkinson if you’re not sure) about where they are. They’re not in my hands anymore. Oh, and Laura, I think he’s got your Smash Hits CD too. I can’t remember exactly what it was now, but it was the one you told me to bin on the night.
And there I shall leave it. Thanks for reading the many e-mails that have been sent out in the past, what we estimate to be 10 months and counting. It’s not going to finish just yet, but it’ll be on shaky ground for the next few weeks.
