The Friday E-Mail
I’d be lying if I said that this had been a perfectly good week. In fact, it’s been one of ups and downs, again and again, and to be honest I’m very glad it’s over.
Yes, I know the three weeks of Easter holiday are now over, and we’re preparing for a short stint of four or five weeks before going on exam leave, only to return for the exams and never again. It’s going to be hard work, but it’s not impossible and the end is certainly nigh.
Still reeling from the shock of my Auntie’s death on Monday, Saturday was difficult with an evening of funeral preparations that had to be done and sorted out. It’s necessary, but it hurts, it really does.
The Sunday Grand Prix was a true show though, and we finally had what seemed close to a race to watch. As we had a battling Ferrari in second until Shumi retired for the first race in 52 with a mechanical failure as he lost hydraulic pressure and ended up parking in the garage. The man of the show though was Pedro de la Rosa, with his barmy overtaking and supreme speed whilst he stood in for Juan Pablo Montoya who was out with a shoulder injury.
Monday, as far as we can tell, Rose returned home at 1 a.m. in the morning – the price for spending two weeks in sunny Tenerife on the beach I suppose.
Tuesday saw my week pick up, as I passed my driving test first time round (**gloat gloat**) with a mere 5 minor faults. Sorry, but I can’t help but brag about that one!
Wednesday was a solemn day as my Auntie’s funeral was upon us. We managed to get through it though, and I thank you for your kind thoughts and wishes, which were gratefully received.
On the night though, it was a more spirited affair as a night in Manchester was on the cards, and the meal was wonderful. We had a great laugh, which was what I needed after the rest of the day, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable night. Long may they continue.
Thursday, and the end of the week was in sight. Still no news off the person I was so awaiting hearing from, and I can’t hide my disappointment about that fact. One last shopping trip for these holidays would have gone down a treat, but it simply wasn’t to be. But, at least I got to do some more revision. What joy!
Friday, last day of the week. Glorious sunshine but cold, and its only going to get colder tonight. With the last day of the holidays upon us, it seemed right not to do all that much work, and just potter around the house for the day not doing much at all, expect pay my last regards to the Pope, the only one we’ve known, and now we can watch for the white smoke coming out of The Vatican to signify that the new pope has been chosen.
All in all, it’s been a trying week, once again not seeing many people, and the ups and the downs offering stark contrasts to what kind of mood I might have been in at any time. It’s been hard. I know I haven’t dealt with most situations at all well, but I like to think I tried my best, and with that I cannot argue.
All that’s left to say is see you all on Monday, which I am almost looking forward to, even though it is the final slog, but I get to see you guys again because for most it’s been more than a week and for some three, which is getting to me now. I miss you all!
One last thing, it was great to see the number of posts on the blog increase so much in one week, and I hope it can continue in the same spirit, because it’s great to see the feedback, or simply what people want to say to everyone else. Keep it up!
So, enjoy the weekend, have a lie in if you’ve been working properly all week, and I’ll see you Monday morning, refreshed, wide-eyed, bushy tailed, and ready and raring to go!
Ta taa for now

Greetings to all, and firstly I'd like to congratulate Paul on another heart-felt and superbly written (ok, typed!) e-mail today. It was sad to hear such news, but I'm sure I represent everyone when I say our thoughts are with you.
Don't know about Monday morning, not too many of us will be wide-eyed with bushy tails I think you claimed. NAH Until it gets to gone 14:00 I'll be walking around like a zombie, and rightly so. What a ludicrous time to start a day, 09:00. I blame Brooker! Usually works anyhow. Should be cool to see and actually contact everyone again.
Adri, thanks for the concern but I have nothing to hide! I think (thinks hard about secretive past...!)

By
Adriana, at 1:48 pm
We shouldn't have anything much to hide, besides, we're all friends here.
I wouldn't say my standards are any better than yours Adri, I just think I have a very solid fan base who like to post. I mean, only five different people have posted! Keep it going though.

Right that's just being silly Adriana, come on. I have just released my Saturday e-mail so check it out (another free plug, haha) but within it contains info about these blogger sites to my devoted fan-base. It should inform more about how amazing these well-developed and thought-up web-sites are, and how much they are worth visiting. Stop worrying, I personally love the ORIGINAL and it's open-ended debates.
Keep up the good work.

I just want to post a random comment on each of these posts within the current archives. And this is no exception.
I want cake! NOW!!! Why can't we buy cake from the tuck-shop/café area. Surely Chez Carol could add cakes to her already fantastic menu!
Jonah (hungry, despite the fact I have already eaten)
By
Scotty, at 12:54 pm
Just to develop that point, I want to say I feel your hunger, Richard! This school makes your appetite so much greater and your daily intake of nutrition may not be the healthiest, but it would work for me! GO Scandal Press Editor in chief.
