The Friday E-Mail
As another week passes, another one begins, but the countdown for the end of the beginning has truly started.
Exams are beginning to roll out, even if they are mainly just the AS re-sits at the moment, I know the P3 albeit early was an A2 pig of an exam, but James’s history didn’t go too badly at all for him. I’m not too sure about any of the other though. The GCSE’s aren’t faring too badly, with the customary off-the-syllabus questions just to catch you out for the fun of it, but I haven’t heard too many horror stories about them. As for the AS’s, they’ve nearly finished, well have finished now unless you do further maths, so it’s back into full time school for you all on Monday! Yipee-I-A!!
It hasn’t been the most eventful week in the history of mankind though. As Live-8 was launched in style by Sir Bob Geldof, our Tony went off to America to discuss things with G W Bush, but got nowhere as America were in their more co-operative moods and changed none of their initial opinions and are choosing to ride things out in their own special way. And this is the most powerful country in the world! It spends ten times anywhere else in it’s military budget, and gives out the smallest fraction of that figure in aid to some of the more desperate corners – normally war-torn – or the world. What a fantastic world we live in! At long last though, the America public is slowly beginning to open it’s eyes to the rest of the world, there are now 5 continents in the world according to an American survey, and they’ve decided to turn against the Iraq war! It only took them a couple of years more than anyone else! Bless! It’s now 60-40 against the war ever taking place, as the body bags really do begin to pile up after ‘mission accomplished’ two years ago, and the constant assurance that, even though the insurgent’s attacks get ever more violent and bloody, the insurgency is beginning to break up. I just hope, with Blair and co. at the helm of the G-8 summit, we can get something done. But, it is only hope. I mean, we do have Bush to contend with here!
Closer to home though, as yet another cemetery gets vandalised by mindless, ruthless and respect-less, well, thugs (I suppose) in a racial attack, what is this country coming to. We’re supposed to be a tolerant, multi-racial society, yet we still have racist attacks, violent attacks and now desecration of the country’s graves! I’d love to know what’s going through their minds as they smash the graves to smithereens, hanging little teddies in nooses on a nearby tree and kicking up such a mess with absolutely sod all in way of explanation. I bet they’d say, ‘because it was funny, huh huh’ What went wrong, really?!?!
Still, as the state of the world gets me down, we’ve had some of the best weather of the year, and we’ve had to be inside revising for most of it! Oh joy! What a great life this is. Still, only three weeks of this left. That’s it, three weeks of exams, less for most people, so I wish you look, and expect to see you at my birthday party after them all on the 2nd of July. Apart from those who can’t come of course, but I know who you are! Still, good luck in the exams, and enjoy them!
I’ll leave it there now though, I think. Not a lot about the group, I know, but nothing much has happened at all. And, if you’d like to have your say about what has happened and deserved a mention, then reply to this very post on the Friday E-Mail website before it gets terminated in the not so distant future at the moment!
See you all soon, no doubt!
Ta taa for now

What can you expect from Dubya though? Hes a prat, and so are most Americans. You have to learn to live with it, the world we live in is going to pot all because of some of the leaders of the big countries

Great commentary this week as well as every other Friday E-mail you publish. Fantastic stuff to read and was entertaining if somewhat opinionated! Wouldn't have it any other way, and for your final but crucial point in your post was the idea of simply terminating your fine blogger spot and to that, as you are perhaps the father of this phenomenom, I pronounce from a balcony to the masses...
Long live the Friday E-mail!

I have a proposal to show how much we really do enjoy reading and reacting to your Friday E-mail. I will purposefully cancel my edition of the Saturday e-mail this week as all my attention will be redirected at getting back the zest there once was for this blogger site.
I shall send out an e-mail soon with my proposal. Many thanks
Jonah

O my!! I read the friday e-mail but believe me when I say that I didn't see that last bit!!!!!! I'm shocked, appalled!!! someone really owes us an explanation!!!!!! how did this all come about? who hasn't been posting? you silly silent viewers!!!! You have made the o great master of this site obviously believe that this site means less to us than it does!!!
By
Adriana, at 4:12 pm
If this silly holding back of your own, true opinion ends up as the terminology not only of the friday e-mail blogspot but also of the saturday e-mail then ...then I dono what I'll do! (probably go mad

" Hes a prat, and so are most Americans." hmm very interesting comment there by chris. lots to contemplate. most Americans are prats? what american have you meet (or talked to on the internet) that was a prat?! Pleas do tell me.
The people who are supposed to represent America are all prats given I've never met, seen or heard of any that isn't but Americans?

Adriana, at 4:27 pm
I hope none of you miss scotty's recent post on the original (superhearos head to head) that deserves much more attention as well!
By
Adriana, at 5:34 pm
Thanks Adriana, I was going to mention that but it's completely upto every if they wanna read it or not. This right here is the most important thing! As a rule, I cannot allow you Adriana, to type two or more comments on the go!
Anyway, comment on the e-mail itself, tell the author what you think...

you know ..if I must than I'll just write all the 25 comments myself. no sweat. but I wont put up with such a brilliant site made up of outstanding words and as scotty so nicely put the mother of all our little blogers to be eliminated!
By
Adriana, at 12:42 am
The trouble is there comes a time for the mother to let her children go and slip off into quiet retirement herself. I'm not saying the Friday E-Mail will end, quite the opposite in fact. I promised 52 issues, and I'll be damned if I don't make that promise!
Many thanks for your support though, as it is clear that you clearly feel this is something to fight for, so the idea of quietly closing this down will be put on the backburner for a little while. We'll see how things pan out yet.
Keep on posting, you're very welcome to!

umm ignore me if I dont make much sense my head still isn't totally clear.
By
Adriana, at 12:16 pm
Although I am delighted you have decided to review any possible actions of terminating this blogger site, I may remind everyone reading that I will not be publishing anything further at all, until this comment box reaches 25 comments!
Adriana, stop posting twice in a row, I am sure Paul appreciates your views but I speak for him when I say that more people's views and thoughts are wanted here.

I dont normally tell third people anything that any of my dear friends say but I have a little problem here and think this must stop!! Right before I go on and work myself into a rage I'll first quote the one and only, fabulous superhero scotty
" The Friday e-mail despite my efforts has only received 5
different view points and I don't think people care at all. Hopefully
time will tell but I shall stick to my idea of cancelling my Saturday
e-mail. If nobody cares then, then I shall consider ever doing a
weekly e-mail. It's that extreme."
People, are you really so ...so ignorant, so self-indulgent that you can’t tell someone. ...and not just someone but Scotty, THE ickle one A N D Paul, the one and only (!) our true opinion on the wonderus things they mange to bring to paper?!!!!!!!!!! Am I surrounded by idiots?
By
Adriana, at 3:52 pm
Whoa! Calm down a tad there! That won't get us anywhere in thie game.
If anything, I publish here for the fun of leaving things slightly open ended and giving people room to comment. I don't expect, I just leave it open.
By
Paul, at 9:05 pm
Yes but it's annoying! you leave it open so very perfectly, it's so fun to read and no matter if one was there or not it's easy to fallow and easy to comment to (as I've probably so often proved) only yet people are are are Grrahhhhhhh it's just annoying. funny really because I can live with people not looking at my things but it's soo very baffling and annoying if people seam to ignore such well written and quite obviously somewhat deeply thought things!
By
Adriana, at 9:14 pm

The following was originally typed by Mr Kyle:
All hail the Friday E-mail, all hail the great Paul and all hail this Blogger site...but curse them for not reminding me what my username and password are.
Now, where's my cheque book? Donation? *must resist the temptation to write novelty cheques to people for millions that can only be cashed in in 500 years*

By
Scotty, at 7:56 pm

SAVE THE FRIDAY E-MAIL 3!!!
By
Adriana, at 12:59 pm
I think that is enough advertising, proding and general begging for one week! Thank you ALL for commenting on this week's edition...it's been good to see your response and show the One and Only (copyright, like everything else!) that we want to keep the Friday E-mail and it's blogger site, the mother of all of the others.
Now here's the tricky part, how about we don't neglect it in the future and comment regulary on it? Read the e-mail and respond to anything...Just a thought..
See you all at the concert!
The ickle, and icklest member, Jonah
By
Scotty, at 11:48 am
Is the Friday e-mail possibly going to be released this Sunday? I would be one of many who would rub their hands at such a prospect!
Keep it up...
REM rule, what a concert...
Paul, Kyle, teach me the words...
Everyone, group hug?!
Jonah
By
Scotty, at 1:11 pm
of course we'll keep writing!! **death look at anyone who thinks other wise** I just hope we'll get to hear paul's account of last friday (o the enthusiasm that brightens up the sight is simply fabulous ...lol one and only!)
